Before you book
Do I pay anything now?
Usually not. You book now and pay at the hotel when you stay. Only in high season we may ask for a small advance.
Is breakfast included?
Choose "Bed & breakfast" or "Half board" options when you book. Breakfast is served at our De Papegaai restaurant.
Is there Wi-Fi and parking?
Yes, both are available for guests free of charge.
How do I get to the hotel?
We'll arrange a private car from Colombo airport (about 3 h) or from anywhere on the island. Uber from the airport is also an option. From Tangalle town it's about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk.
Can I swim in the sea?
The beach in front of the hotel sometimes has strong waves. A calmer swimming spot is a 5-minute walk away, and we'll show you where. The pool is always there.
I'm arriving late. Is that OK?
Yes. Just tell us your arrival time in advance, in the booking or on WhatsApp.
Are children welcome?
Yes, of all ages. A baby cot is available on request. Extra beds on request: $20 per night (1–15 years) or $25 (16+).
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, pets are not allowed.
Do you help with tours and travel?
Yes: drivers, tuk-tuks, Yala safari, Rekawa turtle watching, Mulkirigala temple. We're also glad to help plan your route around Sri Lanka.
Do you cater for special diets?
Yes: vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Dinner is à la carte — order anything from the menu. Just let us know your needs.
Do I need transport to get around?
The hotel is in a quiet spot and the village is too far to walk. We'll call a tuk-tuk for you any time, and we know trusted locals who rent out scooters.
Is there laundry service?
Yes, for a small fee.
